House Party: Boca Man Allegedly Serves Alcohol To Minors

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — As a rule of thumb, telling police that you have no identification on you when officers can see your wallet in your pocket is not a good idea. Either is holding a “house party” in a home that you rent and believing that 70 or so people running around, parking on the grass, and creating noise at 2am is no big deal.
That’s the message sent to Giulliano Possebon who stands charged with “Obstructing an Officer Without Violence” and “Allowing Minors Alcohol/Drugs At An Open House Party.”
The resident of 100 NW 2nd Avenue in Boca allegedly held a huge house party that led to several complaints from neighbors. When police showed up, an officer wrote in his affidavit of probable cause:
“I observed the front door slightly open, which allowed anyone to walk inside the residence. The residence did not have anyone outside verifying who was walking into the residence. I also observed number people who appeared underage, holding alcoholic beverages. The resident did not provide any precautionary measures for people underage (such as providing underage individuals wrist bands or stamps so they would not be allowed to drink).”
Police ultimately made contact with Possebon.
“I advised Possebon that a noise disturbance was coming from his residence due to the people outside drinking alcohol, the noise emanating from his home disturbing neighbors, and the vehicles parked on the various lawns. Possebon advised he would shut the party down, and reentered the house to do so.
A few minutes later I made contact with Possebon at the threshold of his residence, where he advised he was shutting the party down; however, he did nothing but stand by the door and talk with friends. It should be noted that the residence appeared to hold at least sixty to seventy people from what I could see from the outside. I subsequently asked Possebon if he could step outside so I could talk to him, as the music from inside his home was very loud. He stepped outside and I asked him again if he was a resident there and he told me yes. I advised him that because he was the resident, he could be arrested due to the underage drinking and the noise disturbance. I asked if anyone else paid rent or was in control of the property and he advised that he was the only renter present tonight. Possebon told me on four different occasions that he was a resident of this address, paid rent to live there, and was the only one in control of the property tonight. It should be noted that Possebon originally provided me with a false name of “Felipe Augusto,” as well as a false date of birth and social security number when I asked him to identify himself. He was extremely uncooperative and evasive. When I asked him for a form of physical identification he told he he did not have his wallet on him (which held his ID), even though I could see his wallet in his rear pants pocket.
