FAU Seeks Local Recording Superstars For Label

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Florida Atlantic University’s student-run/faculty-advised record label, Hoot/Wisdom Recordings, is currently seeking new talent to be recorded for CompOWLation Vol. 4.  All students, faculty, staff and alumni from FAU are encouraged to apply, as well as current students from Palm Beach State College. All genres and musical styles are welcome and all submissions will be given equal consideration by the students at Hoot/Wisdom Recordings.
The students of Hoot/Wisdom Recordings have divided into 13 teams dedicated to discovering, recording, and then managing and promoting the best artists that FAU and PBSC have to offer. Artists who are interested in submitting a demo to Hoot/Wisdom should visit the website, www.hootwisdom.com, and fill out the Artist Submission Form.  Hoot/Wisdom Recordings will accept demo submissions for CompOWLation Vol. 4 until Friday, March 21 and will begin the process of selecting and contacting artists shortly thereafter.
“We’re proud to give recording artists a start at FAU,” said Michael Zager, Dorothy F. Schmidt eminent scholar in the performing arts and director of Hoot/Wisdom Recordings. “Alex Kinsey made his first recording on CompOWLation Vol. 2. Alex and his partner Sierra, known as Alex & Sierra, won the national television competition “The X Factor.”
Hoot/Wisdom Recordings is administered by students and supervised by Professor Alejandro Sanchez-Samper, assistant director of the Commercial Music Program at FAU.
