News

BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — In a press release that is sure to raise eyebrows and ignite conspiracy theorists, the Department of Defense is conducting top secret military training that’s closed to the public — and media — throughout Broward County this week.
How do we know?
The Broward Sheriff’s Office issued this unique press release:

Various components of the U.S. Department of Defense will be conducting routine training March 24-27, 2014 in Broward County.  The training will take place at different locations throughout the county.  The sites have been carefully selected to minimize the impact on the daily routine of residents and visitors. The respective law enforcement agencies will provide any needed support.  This training, which has been conducted by military personnel in cities across the country, is designed to certify service members in urban environment operations in preparation for upcoming overseas deployments. This training is not open to the public or media due to safety and security concerns.

So if you see a tank driving up Las Olas Boulevard, or a Navy Seal team repelling down a high-rise during your lunch break, note that all is good.
