Woman Throws Coffee On Publix Purse Snatcher

Hell hath no fury like a woman whose purse is being snatched outside Publix…

Boca Raton Police report that a woman was getting out of her car at the Publix at 1001 South Federal Highway on Monday morning when a man approached her and grabbed her purse. Before letting go, she took a cup of coffee and threw it on the man. The suspect was still able to get the purse and apparently knocked the woman to the ground. She is okay.

As for the suspect: he was last seen fleeing west on the north sidewalk of SE 11th Street towards Dixie Highway.

Police say the suspect is a Hispanic or light-skinned black male in his late 30s to early 40s with short hair, well-groomed, no facial hair. They say he is around 5’11” with a muscular build and was wearing dark pants with a white polo shirt.

If you have information, please telephone Detective Scott Hanley at 561-338-1344 or Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 800-458-TIPS.
