BOCA RATON, FL ( — It’s not that the shopping cart had LoJack. It’s that the shopping cart said “Publix” and clearly didn’t belong in front of 399 Glouchester Street. That’s where police were called by a Publix manager who reported a shoplifting with a quasi-happy ending for the store. The Publix manager reported that Marc Carter (4/13/76) took the cart, and roughly $100 worth of groceries, to his home. He was arrested for shoplifting. Incidentally, the cart was valued at $300. He allegedly took $98.99 wort of merchandise. He was turned over to the Palm Beach County jail where he is still being held in lieu of $3,000 bond.
