The Secret's Out: Panty Raid At Boca Store Is Simple Stuff

Victoria's SecretBOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — We stopped counting after the last one, but in what has to be the fifth or sixth story like this in the past few months, another $6300 worth of underwear was stolen from the Victoria’s Secret store at Boca’s Town Center Mall.

This latest theft — of 600 panties — leaves one to wonder if the chain actually cares about inventory control, or if a decision was made that the the merchandise is so inexpensive to make that it’s cheaper to write off thefts as an insurance loss than to actually tag items with theft deterring sensors.

Boca Raton Police say that the store told them that the video did not show a clear image of the thief, and — at the time the theft was reported — the video was not ready for police to review themselves.
