Teen Steals Purse From Lexus In Boca Grove

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Boca Grove homeowner Naomi Shapiro says she knows who stole the purse from her unlocked four door silver 2010 Lexus, and witness “Maria” told police that she saw it all happen.

A girl — between the ages of 10 and 12, complete with a pony tail, pink shorts and wearing a safety helmet — apparently rode her bike to the car. Opened the back door. Swiped the purse. And fled. She then apparently left the purse on the ground just a few doors away and took nothing.

Naomi Shapiro walked all the way to the purse — several houses away — picked it up and called police.

No arrests have been made. The theft by the brazen little girl — if it happened as reported to police — was apparently caught on video tape, but the tape has yet to be provided to detectives.
