BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office was on the scene late Tuesday night of a serious accident just east of the entrance to Boca Falls on Palmetto Park Road, near Riverside Drive.
At least one person was rushed to an area hospital after the truck seen in the photo apparently collided with the motorcycle seen laying on the ground.
The was originally dispatched as an accident involving a pedestrian. It is unclear if the “pedestrian” is a third party involved or a motorcyclist thrown from the bike.
This section of Palmetto Park Road is known by some in the area as “death highway” due to the 50 mph speed limit, the proximity to West Boca High School and young drivers — and an onslaught of motorcycle and bicycle riders. There are several roadside memorials for drivers and passengers killed in this area over the past several years.

  1. I understand how important it is to let the community of Boca Raton know what is going on. But it is rather rude to jump on scene and snap a photograph. Sure, you’re doing your job. But for his friends and family they need time to cope with all that has happened. It’s a rough thing for a 16 year old boy to go through, along with his parents dealing with it. It’s be appreciated if you had some sort of soul to take it down. Have a heart. Don’t publish the second things happen. Give it time to clear the air. Humanity has become so disgusting these past years. Understand as a father, mother, sibling, close family member, close friend. That you too wouldn’t like this being part of the news. Thank you.

    1. in all fairness you are wrong… this photo only shows the vehicles involved nothing else so technically its not invading personal lives… Connor is a good friend to my family, and i find what you say wrong… some of his friends, coaches, and teachers had no idea till they saw this… i personally saw the accident about 20 minutes after it happened… Connor was already taken to the hospital… David looked like he did nothing wrong… i can tell you right now what had happened… David isn’t a smart driver… so he probably didnt look when he went to switch lanes therefore hitting Connor… if you look at the markings thats exactly what it looks like… my prayers go to Connor and his family… he is such a good kid and didn’t deserve for this to happen to him… get better soon, your west boca lacrosse team loves you and hopes for a speedy recovery<3

      1. Your stupidity shows through your writing. Read between the lines. It’s not the fact that the picture just shows two transportations. It’s how quickly it was updated, the second David walked into the hospital with his father and other friend he even mentioned that it was already up and how the publisher for this was already rushing over to take pictures. Sweetie, I know my sources. Apparently you don’t and your opinion is just an opinion to which it means nothing to me. Now, why don’t you try to keep your mouth shut and let the adults talk this out. We don’t need your symbol of a heart showing how much you care for someone you don’t know that well. Anyways, I wasn’t asking a question so you didn’t need to reply. Nor did I say “correct me if I’m wrong”. Have a nice night.

    2. Hey stupid, it’s called the free press. This was a newsworthy story, especially for people who live in West Boca. It sounds to me all you care about is the dumb kid in the truck who caused this accident. Because you know him or something, you don’t want this reported?

  2. That is life. It happens all the time. It doesnt disuss me at all that the press had posted this up couple of monites after it happened, they are doing their job. And what disgust me the most about this situation is your ” action” sweetie as an “adult”. Obviously this kid that you were bashing on was just grieving about his friend and the whole situation, and for you to tell this kid that he doesnt know either of these kids and also telling him to shut up isnt mature. Especially for an “adult”. I think he took up the situation well and for you to put him down is uncalled for. God bless both families hopefully that kid is doing okay. Yes go ahead tell me how uneducated i am because of the way i write like you did the kid.
