Small Plane Crash Visible From Boca

BOCA RATON, FL ( — received this image from a resident of Boca Del Mar shortly after a small plane crashed near the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport just before 4:30p today.

Initial reports from FAA indicate the plane was a Piper PA31. It had taken off from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. Three people were on board, all were killed.

The plane crashed into several cars on the ground. The extent of injury to people not on the plane remains unclear.
