Firefighters Battling Blaze In West Boca

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Palm Beach County Fire Rescue tonight is on the scene of a blaze in West Boca.

From fire rescue:

At 1022 units responded to reports of a structure fire on the 9700 block of Sandlefoot Blvd. On arrival crews found a mobile home that was fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters were advised that this was an unoccupied home and they began a defensive fire attack. Crews also began protecting an adjacent mobile home that due to the heat was having some of its siding beginning to melt. The occupants of the nearby home were also evacuated for safety.

Firefighters have done a great job containing the fire to the building of origin and protecting adjacent homes from catching fire. The scene continues to be active as of 11:25 tonight.
