BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — No one wants to think about school — yet — but the YMCA of South Palm Beach County is planning a back-to-school bash. And you’re invited. Our friends at the Y sent out this invitation to share with everyone county-wide:
The YMCA of South Palm Beach County in Boca Raton and Boynton Beach is ringing in the upcoming school year on Saturday, August 3 with Back-to-School Bash events. The Back-to-School Bash events are family-oriented, free events that celebrate the beginning of the new school season and the last chance at summer fun. These free events help children and their parents get into the groove of the new school year and inspire parents to think about ways to keep their children physically fit and intellectually active all year long.
Attendees can expect family-fun entertainment like field games, water activities, bounce houses, door prizes and music. New members that sign up at the event on August 3 can also enjoy a $0 joining fee and members who register for fall after-school programs at the event will have their registration fees waived.
“The YMCA of South Palm Beach County has year-round fun and educational programs designed for its members,” said Dick Pollock, president and CEO of YMCA of South Palm Beach County. “After-school programs combine play and learning, which is fun for the children and is appreciated by the parents. Learning doesn’t stop at the end of the school day.”
