Lost At The Mall? Google Maps Now Features Boca Town Center

Google maps has been updated for iPhone and iPad, and now includes precision mapping of Town Center Mall.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — How many times has this happened to you? You’re walking from Nieman Marcus to Nordstrom at Boca Raton’s Town Center Mall, only to find that a 75-year–old woman with bleach blonde hair has overturned her stroller carrying a dog, creating traffic havoc just beyond Lululemon where she was stocking up on spandex?

Mall shoppers, rejoice! Google Maps — in its brand new iOS (iPhone/iPad) app out this morning — includes precise mapping of the mall with real-time traffic updates.

Sure, we suspect overturned strollers with dogs won’t make the traffic reports, but the app is a great way to figure out how to get from one store to another in the mall — if that’s the sort of assistance you need.

The map app uses GPS to help guide you from one place to another. Simon — the mall’s owner — has had a mall app for quite some time, but the Google version brings a level of precision that is impressive, without the mall marketing that you may wish to avoid.

The app is available right now in the app store, and is the first time Google Maps is available — as an app — for the iPad.
