BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — A Boca Raton man allegedly beat and battered his girlfriend over several days — eventually “grabbing her by the hair and (throwing) her down on the floor,” according to a police report.
Gregory Williams, 33, of NE 4th Court was taken into police custody and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail. He was ultimately released.
According to the arrest report filed by the responding officer:
“Upon my arrival I met with Gregory Williams. He was standing outside of the house in the drive way. He told me that he had come home this morning to get a shirt before going to work. He stated he stayed the night at another woman’s home because he and (his girlfriend) are not getting along. He stated he has been staying at different places around town every night to stay away from her. He stated today when he came to get a shirt (the girlfriend) started arguing with him about where he had been all night. He stated he just ate breakfast and used the restroom and left the house. He said (the girlfriend) stood behind his car so he could not leave.
I then when to speak with (the girlfriend) who was with another officer. She gave me the following account: She was awaken to find Greg standing in the bedroom after he had been out all night. She stated she wpoke with him while in the bathroom and he slammed the door into her face and then he grabbed her by the hair and threw her out of the room. She stated Gregory had beat (sic) her two days ago during an argument. He grabbed her by the hair that time as well and threw her down onto the concrete outside. He then shoved her at the wall and tried to run her over with his car. It should be noted that (the woman) did have some bruising on the left side of the head near her eye. I also noticed bruising on her legs and buttocks, lower back and her arms. She stated she sustained these bruises from gregory shoving her and hitting her over the past two weeks. She stated that he gets upset with her and then verbally and physically abuses her.”
Williams was charged with one count of “battery — causes bodily harm.” A court date is pending.
