BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Chalk another one up for Boca Raton Police — working undercover at incident-magnet Town Center Mall to nab an allegedly car burglar.

Joel Garcia, 24, was allegedly trying to open car doors in the parking lot of Nordstrom's in an effort to find unlocked vehicles and burgle them. According to police:

“Following a lengthy surveillance operation, Garcia was observed entering an unlocked van. Garcia was subsequently placed under arrest for burglary.”

Garcia, from Canal Point, is likely now testing the locks at the Palm Beach County Jail, finding only that they're keeping him off the streets.
