BOMB THREAT: Zale JCC Preschool Evacuated

News

UPDATE @ 3:30p with this statement from the JCC:

The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County on the Richard and Carole Siemens Campus west of Boca Raton addressed an unsupported threat to a tenant on the campus this afternoon. At the request of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department, no vehicles were allowed to enter or leave the campus for approximately two hours. At no time was any individual or property on the campus at risk of harm.

Our Federation immediately activated full protocols to ensure the security of the campus. We also immediately activated our alert notification system, using telephone calls, texts and emails to inform and reassure all those on campus as well as parents of children who attend school here.

As always, the safety and security of those on our campus is our paramount concern.

UPDATE @ 2:49pm: Police tell us that nothing was found and have issued an “all clear.” Children and teachers are returning to the preschool.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — PBSO is on the scene of the JCC in West Boca where a bomb threat has been received.

Evacuation is underway. Bomb sniffing dogs are being led through the campus, focusing on the Zale a Preschool.

We will update when we receive more information from police on the scene.
