BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Boca Raton resident Jenia Schlechter, who we reported on several months ago when she was arrested multiple times last year for shoplifting and larceny, is just out from her latest stay in the Palm Beach County Jail. Schlechter is accused this time of stealing $651.95 worth of merchandise from Sears at Town Center Mall.

Incredibly, a quick records check reveals that Schlechter may be partially made of Teflon. The State Attorney’s Office declined to prosecute — or a judge withheld adjudication — on several of her previous run-ins with the law. On March 8th of last year, the SAO “down filed” or “not filed” on a felony arrest logged as “larceny grand theft more than $300 less than $5,000.”

Arrestees are, of course, innocent until proven guilty. Schlechter has 16 court records — some for traffic, some for felony accusations — logged in the Palm Beach County Clerk’s public record system.
