Boca Raton Officer Slightly Injured When Stopped Car Speeds Away

BOCA RATON, FL ( — A few tense moments in the area of 8000 Congress Avenue this afternoon led to a chase by Boca PD and PBSO and — ultimately — an arrest.

From Boca PD:

At about 1:15 p.m., a Boca Raton Police officer stopped at car at 8000 Congress Avenue. The officer made contact with the driver who drove off striking the officer’s hand. A pursuit ensued. Stop sticks were deployed. The pursuit ended at 441 and Boynton Beach Boulevard. The suspect is in custody. The officer received medical attention and is okay.
