PALM BEACH COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT SUSPENDS ASSESSMENT TESTING

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (From PBSD) –Superintendent E. Wayne Gent announced Monday that the School District of Palm Beach County will suspend Florida Standards Assessment testing on Tuesday for grades eight, nine and 10, as the Florida Department of Education continues its work to resolve problems that Palm Beach County and other districts experienced with the testing portal.
Several Palm Beach County district-operated and charter schools experienced problems on Monday with logging into the state’s testing portal, prompting the School District of Palm Beach County to suspend testing for the day.
Students in eighth, ninth and tenth grades began taking the writing portion of the Florida Standards Assessment on Monday. Those tests were conducted on computers. Students in fourth through seventh grades will begin taking the writing test on March 10, and will use paper and pencil.
