Loggers Run Middle Teacher Matt Webster Jailed On Porn Charges

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Matthew Webster, a teacher at Loggers Run Middle School in West Boca, remains in the Palm Beach County Jail Wednesday afternoon. He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.

Webster is accused of transmitting indecent photos of himself to a student. He is being charged with two counts of Cruelt Toward Child — Transmit Info Harmful To Minors.

Webster, 41, of Tamarind Lane in Coconut Creek, appeared in court Wednesday following his late Tuesday evening arrest.

Here is the official statement from school principal Fran Giblin:

As principal of Loggers’ Run Middle School, I am committed to keeping
our families informed of situations that affect our campus.
Today, a teacher at our school was arrested. While the allegations
against the teacher are being investigated, the teacher will not be
returning to campus and will have no contact with any students.
At this time we do not have reason to believe that any of our students
were affected.
