Boca High School’s Aubrey Deptula Wins Major Award

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Congratulations to Aubrey Deptula of Boca Raton Community High School. Aubrey is receiving a major award for earning the highest score in the United States for the Cambridge Assessment International Education examination.

Palm Beach County students from 15 schools will be recognized Tuesday for their exceptional achievement on prestigious international examinations, developed by Cambridge Assessment International Education, a part of the University of Cambridge.

Of those students, three District students are receiving ‘Top in Country’ awards for earning the highest score in the United States for a specific subject.
Aubrey Deptula, Boca Raton Community High School – Media Studies
Alexa Lisa Gauvin, Palm Beach Central High School – Marine Science
Duc Tran, Palm Beach Central High School – Chemistry
Additionally, nearly 500 students will receive with ‘Outstanding Learner and Scholar Awards’ for their exceptional achievement on Cambridge International examinations. These awards celebrate and recognize the success of high-performing Cambridge students.

Cambridge International will also recognize the Palm Beach County School District for having the largest number of Cambridge Award recipients for the June 2017 examination series.

Each year, nearly one million students study in Cambridge International programs worldwide, taking more than two million exams. In 2017, students in the United States completed nearly 100,000 Cambridge International AS & A Level exams, a record number and an increase of 23 percent over the prior school year.
