DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A car fire Friday morning closed Atlantic Avenue for part of the morning and left a vehicle totaled.

The fire was reported just before 10 a.m. in the area of Atlantic Avenue and Legends Way. No one was seriously injured. It was not immediately clear what type of vehicle was involved or what led to the fire. It did not appear to be the result of a crash.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue sent multiple crews to the scene and the fire was declared under control several minutes after they arrived. We are awaiting a full rundown of events. Vehicle fires are somewhat routine in South Florida, although this fire appears extra intense.

Atlantic Avenue was reopened once the fire was extinguished. Check back for updates.
