BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton Fire Rescue is on the scene Thursday morning of a raging car fire in a parking garage at 900 South Ocean Blvd., the parking garage for the Boca Resort (now known as The Boca Raton). The fire was reported in the 8 a.m. hour.
Traffic is said to be slowed in the area. It was not immediately clear what type of vehicle is burning — traditional or EV. A huge number of fire units have been dispatched to the scene. Electric Vehicles require special firefighting apparatus and tactics.
Avoid the area if possible. Check back for updates throughout the morning.
