Boca Raton Fire Explorers Honored At Award Ceremony

News

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewNow.com) — Great story as we head into the holidays. Boca Raton Fire Rescue Post #315 just held its seventh annual awards night and honored 22 young men and women for their work as Fire Explorers. Explorer Lt. Brand Indiviglio received the award for Fire Explorer Of The YEar, while former Explorers — now advisers — Kevin Zimbrick and matt Reeves received the Countess de Hoernle Outstanding Achievement Ward which was named in her honor for her community work.
The most impressive part of the Fire Explorer program is that Boca Raton Fire Rescue actually hires from within. To date, BRFRS has hired seven Fire Explorers. There are currently seven additional Explorers who have completed their EMT training and are ready for the Fire Academy, and one that has completed the EMT and Fire Academy and is currently in Paramedic School.
