Women Apparently Drive Car Into West Boca Lake

News

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Two women are incredibly just fine this evening after one apparently lost control of their car and drove it into the lake at the intersection of Diego Drive East and Glades Road.

This is the Mission Bay section of Boca Raton — west of 441.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue tells BocaNewsNow.com that callers to 911 reported two women swimming to shore after their car entered the lake. Rescuers — on the scene moments later — found the women on the bank of the lake.

They were not injured and paramedics on the scene determined they did not to be checked out at a hospital.

It is unclear at this point what caused the accident or the status of the vehicle. We expect to learn Monday morning whether the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is filing charges against the driver.
