Head-on Wreck Critically Injures On 441

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — A serious head-on accident critically injured the driver of a Lexus early Sunday morning at 441 and Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach.
At 11:30, PBSO updated the following:

Preliminary investigation revealed V-1 was traveling southbound in the inside northbound lane of SR 7 approximately 1 mile south of Atlantic Ave. V-2 was northbound in the right northbound lane. The left front of V-1 struck the left front of V-2. Both vehicles rotated counter clockwise with V-1 coming to rest near the center median and V-2 coming to rest on the east grass shoulder. Driver of V-1 was extricated by Palm Beach county Fire Rescue and transported to Delray Medical Center with serious injuries. Driver of V-2 left the scene and is currently unidentified. Alcohol/impairment is a likely factor in this crash.

On Sunday, May 26, 2013, at approximately 4:36 am, a serious vehicle crash occurred on Atlantic Ave and State Road 7, Delray Beach. The driver of a Lexus was traveling south bound in the north bound lanes and a driver of pick-up truck was northbound in the northbound lanes. The vehicles collided resulting in the Lexus coming to rest facing north and the pick-up truck coming to rest facing west.
The driver of the Lexus was transported to Delray Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition. At this time it is unknown what injuries the driver of the pick-up truck sustained.
Vehicle Homicide Investigators are in the early stages of this investigation
