Delray Bicyclist Killed In Boca Raton

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — A Delray Beach man riding his bicycle was struck and killed early this morning in Boca Raton. Timothy Van Orden was pronounced dead at the scene in the 6700 block of North Federal Highway.

Boca Police tell BocaNewsNow.com that Van Orden, 41, was struck around 2:25 a.m. by a 2007 Honda traveling Southbound on North Federal. The car was driven by Drew Blazure of Clinton, New Jersey.

    1. Wow Jim, with that logic, I queston where your brain(s?) is. With that logic, nobody should be on the road at 2am. Especially not the kid driving drunk who killed him. If your thought process is indicative of how the general/local public feels, I weep for you all.
      By the way, Jim, “we’re” is a contraction and it means “WE ARE”. You meant to type a simple “were”. An honest mistake? Could be, or you could just be an ignoramus. I’m going with the latter.

  1. @Jim… Does not matter what time it was. The guy was riding his bike legally in the bike lane. Here’s some inside info, the guy in the car was more than slightly impaired. I can’t believe he’s not booked into jail yet.

    1. Maybe because the bike rider was riding home from the bar…. driver’s license was revoked because of past DUI. If both involved were impaired than it’s a wash.

    * An online new journal owned by Andrew Colton publishes an article about the victims arrest record using a mugshot as their photo and does not even mention the drunk driver.
