Boca Raton Regional Hospital’s Toppel Family Place is celebrating 20 years of providing maternity services to South Florida residents. Since welcoming its first baby on September 7, 1993, Toppel Family Place delivers about 1,800 babies each year and has come to be recognized for its award- winning services and family-centered care.
Over the past two decades, Toppel Family Place has expanded and evolved its services to better meet the needs of its patients. The maternity unit houses a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), staffed by Level III-trained nurses and respiratory therapists, and has board-certified neonatologists specializing in the care of high-risk infants onsite 24 hours a day. Unique to Toppel is their mother/baby nursing care, in which the same nurses and medical professionals care for both mother and baby.

Boca Regional’s maternity unit has also received the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Care Award in 2012.
