COCONUT CREEK, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — If you drive through Coconut Creek — the small town roughly five feet to the south of Boca Raton, we encourage you to wear your seatbelt. Not only is it the law in Florida, but Officer F. McManus of the Coconut Creek Police Department is apparently out to set a record for the number of seatbelt violation citations he can issue in a short period of time.
On Saturday alone — direct from Coconut Creek's most excellent online nearly real-time police incident reporting system — we know that Officer McManus issued citation after citation Saturday to seatbelt violators.
