UPDATE: 2:30p — CONFIRMED — The always helpful Boca Raton Police Department’s media team now confirms that the traffic craziness is due to Vice President Joe Biden traveling through the City of Boca Raton. No ETA for departure.
UPDATE: 2:26p — Florida 511 which updates traffic information in almost real time is absent of all Palm Beach County information, reinforcing the likelihood that this is related to the movement of Vice President Joe Biden in South Palm Beach County this hour. We are receiving reports of PBSO choppers and deputies in the area — even though the specific area involved is City of Boca Raton jurisdiction. PBSO is not responding to requests for information.
UPDATE: 2:14p — Still no official word from Boca Police or PBSO, however lots of angry emails and callers from our readers who are circling area shopping centers and being corralled by law enforcement. Updates coming…
