BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Media Advisory) — Men who care about premium time together and extraordinary travel as well as helping our Jewish family are invited to join friends and colleagues in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit Cuba. Embarking on January 29, 2015 and returning on February 1, the Men’s Only Mission to Cuba is one of the season’s exciting activities of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County’s new Men’s Division.
“This incredible private journey to Cuba, only 45 minutes away by air but a world from us in experience, will offer a fascinating, fun-filled and life-changing experience” said David Pratt, Chair of the Mission. Over only three days, we’ll get in touch with the needs of our Jewish family there and personally see our dollars in action making an enormous difference – with ample time to explore the vibrant Cuban sights, sounds and tastes.”
“We’ll spend Shabbat with our Jewish family who live so close by but whose lives are so different, in a place one can only visit with permission in an organized group,” added Ken Lebersfeld, who has also signed up for the Mission. “And we know we’ll share other great times together at the Tropicana, in Old Havana and learning about Cuban rum and cigars.”
Space is limited and filling up quickly. An Informational Meeting will be held on December 17, 2014 at 8:00 am in the Proskauer Law Offices at 2255 Glades Road, Suite 421, Atrium. Men who are interested in the Mission to Cuba are asked to RSVP for the meeting at 561-852-6084 or felicen. Information is also available at www.jewishboca.org/mensmission.
The land and air costs will be approximately $2,500 per person. A minimum men’s gift of $1,800 to the 2015 UJA/Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County Annual Campaign is required to participate.
