WEST BOCA SHOOTING: Man Allegedly Shoots Neighbor While Thwarting Robbery

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — A homeowner in the 9000 block of Majorca Place allegedly shot his neighbor — accidentally — while trying to defend himself from an alleged robbery.
Majorca Place is just south of Kimberly Blvd, just east of 441.
This media advisory was just issued by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office:

Victim was returning home from work when he was approached by unknown suspects.  In an attempt to protect himself he armed himself with a handgun.  During the course of the attempted robbery the victim discharged his firearm.  Gunfire accidently struck a nearby neighbor.  The neighbor is being air lifted to a local hospital for treatment.  Condition is unknown.
Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators are in route to the scene to investigate further.
