Lightning Sparks Boca House Fire

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Palm Beach County Fire Rescue) –At 1516 hours, firefighters responded to a Residential Structure Fire located at 9273 Gettysburg Rd, Boca Raton. Initial reports were that the roof was struck by lightning.
Upon arrival, crews encountered a single story residential structure with moderate smoke showing from the roof. A working fire was called. All occupants were out of the structure. Firefighters quickly ventilated the roof. The seat of the fire was discovered and brought under control. at this time, there are no reports of injuries or the need for Red Cross.
