BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Michael Steffy, one of those motorcyclists who wears no helmet, died violently early Monday morning when he crashed in Boca Raton.
Steffy, 65, was traveling westbound on SW 3rd Street — east of State Road 7 — when police say he drifted to the left, striking the center median. Steffy’s 2014 Harley overturned, ejecting him him onto the roadway.
“Steffy was not wearing a helmet and struck his head on the roadway,” said the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Steffy’s home address is listed as the 10000 block of Lexington Estates Blvd in West Boca.
Steffy was charged with DUI in 2009 — his mugshot from that arrest appears above.
