BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — We don’t traditionally report rumors, but this isn’t a traditional time. Parents and students are taking to social media — en masse — to share their fears of a potential incident tomorrow (Friday) at Boca Raton Middle School. Several parents state that they are keeping their children home from school fearing the rumor will become reality.
Boca Police — which provides backup to Palm Beach County School Police — acknowledges the rumor and offers the following:
”We have been in contact with the Palm Beach County School District Police and they are aware of the situation. At their request, we will continue to support the District Police by increasing our presence at Boca schools.”
There is absolutely no confirmation from law enforcement that the rumor is anything more than an ubstantiated rumor during a time that many are finding to be stressful.
