BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Courtesy: Boca Raton Fire Rescue) — On Sunday afternoon at 12:30PM Boca Raton Fire Rescue responded to a report of a structure fire in the Vintage Isles subdivision of the Broken Sound Community. When firefighters arrived, they found the family outside with their pet and were quickly able to confirm no one else was in the home. Firefighters found the home filled with smoke and quickly located the fire at the rear of the home in the master bedroom. During firefighting activities the master bedroom roof of the home collapsed. No firefighters were injured and firefighting efforts continued until the fire was extinguished.
The cause of this fire is still under investigation by both the State Fire Marshal’s Office as well as fire investigators from Boca Raton Fire Rescue at the writing of this release. The estimated damage caused by the fire is $500,000.00
