Elderly Man On Scooter Killed By Car In Delray

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Lloyd Godlin, 80, was killed in Delray Beach Tuesday when police say he drove his scooter in front of a moving car.
According to a police report, “Godlin was utilizing an electronic mobility cart and was traveling westbound on the southern sidewalk of Linton Blvd, east of Sims Road. The vehicle driver was traveling north on Sims Road, south of Linton Blvd. The driver began turning right to travel east on Linton, as (Mr. Godlin) drove into the roadway in front of the vehicle. During the crash, the right front of the vehicle impacted into and traveled over the cart and (Mr. Godlin). Mr. Godlin died at the scene.”
No charges have ebeen filed in the crash which was reported at 5:56 p.m.
