Delray Beach Police Investigate Murder

DELRAY BEACH, FL ( (Source: Delray Beach Police) — Delray Beach Police Department detectives have identified the 29-year-old man found dead Sunday inside his Linton Ridge apartment as Tyler Jamar Pearson. They are investigating his death as a homicide.

Officers discovered Pearson’s body Sunday afternoon after neighbors noticed an unusual odor and realized the usually busy apartment had been quiet for a few days. When they entered apartment G-10, they found Pearson dead of gunshot wounds. Officers had responded to the apartment complex on Thursday night after an anonymous resident called to say he heard gunshots, though they didn’t find any evidence of a shooting or anyone at the scene who had heard gunshots.

Detectives say it’s likely the resident heard the gunshots that resulted in Pearson’s death.

Anyone with information about Pearson’s death is asked to call DBPD Det. Anthony Sala at (561) 243-7867 or Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at (800) 458-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers offers a reward of up to $3,000 for an anonymous tip that leads to an arrest.
