Woman Shot On Atlantic In Delray


DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Source: Delray Beach Police Media Advisory) — Delray Beach police are investigating a shooting. Just after midnight (January 1, 2020), a woman was sitting down at the NW corner of E Atlantic Avenue and NE 1st Avenue when she felt something hit her right leg. She suffered a gunshot wound above her knee.

The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment and was later released. The shooting is believed to be the result of celebratory gunfire. There is no suspect information right now.   Anyone with information is asked to call the Delray Beach police department.
