BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Source: Boca Raton Fire Rescue Service Verbatim) — At 3:44pm on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, Boca Raton Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire located in the parking garage under the businesses at 5499 N Federal Highway in Boca Raton.

Firefighters arrived to find the engine compartment of a Nissan Maxima fully involved in fire, with no occupants inside it. The parking garage was also filled with heavy black smoke. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze and prevent further fire extension into the structure of the parking garage and building.
The were no injuries, but the businesses at the location were evacuated and closed for approximately one hour. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
