UPDATE: 8:13 a.m. Appointments appear to be full or nearly full. The next opportunity to book an online appointment for Publix is 6 a.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — The Publix Vaccine Reservation System is open for COVID-19 shot appointments as of 6 a.m. today (January 22, 2021). Just like Wednesday, there is a limited supply of vaccine available and appointment requests are processed in the order that people logon.

Hundreds of thousands of people logged in on Wednesday for just 20,000+ appointments. We expect today’s experience to be similar. Once you are on the webpage, just wait. The system auto-updates, according to Publix, and will provide appointment options to you when it is your turn. But just like a lottery, it is more likely than not that you will not get an appointment due to limited supply of the vaccine.
We remind our readers that there is NO phone number to call and individual stores can not help you. We also remind our readers that if you think using multiple computers will help your odds, think again. The Publix system almost certainly knows when there are multiple attempts from the same IP address, so we suggest using a computer connected to your home WiFi (internet), and a phone or iPad-type device connected to your cellular service. The Publix computer system will likely look at that as two completely separate attempts to make an appointment from different locations. We don’t want to be overly technical, but using a VPN could also help.

We have tried for the 2nd time to log on to the Publix COVID vaccine shot. It immediately came up with a message of open but full. Quite honestly I do not believe them it seems someone is getting appointments. I am now distrustful of Publix, County Health and anyone else involved in this poor excuse for a scheduling system.
I totally agree with Mr. Roth’s opinion. Today, at exactly 6;01am, I was on the Publix COVID website, and got the message that I was in queue, and IF appt was available, page would change to set appt. I waited 45 minutes this time, then gave up. On Jan 22 I actually waited 92 minutes.
There has to be a better system.
