BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — A Boca Raton real estate agent, unhappy that her soon-to-be-ex-husband was using Tinder — allegedly battered him in the house they still share.
Leslie Gladney was jailed for battery early Friday morning. She was released Friday afternoon on her own recognizance.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com begins with the “he said” part of the investigation.
He Said:
Wrote the investigating officer “(I) observed multiple scratches that appeared recent on both of (the victim’s) arms, forearms and biceps. Upon speaking with (the victim), he stated this wife, later identified as Lesley Gladney, attacked him over a female. He and Lesley are currently in a divorce process and sleep in different locations in the house. (The victim) was in his bedroom talking to another female via the social media application ‘Tinder.’ Lesley suddenly entered the room saw him talking to the female on his phone. Lesley grabbed his phone away and started to attack him, and all. he could do was put his arms up to defend himself. He was able to grab a hold of his phone, exited the residence, and dialed 911.”
She Said:
Here’s the “she said” part of the police report.
“I then made contact with Lesley Gladney who was inside the residence. Lesley was screaming and appeared very upset. Lesley immediately stated that she and (the victim) were in a physical altercation. She stated that (the victim) had invited her into his room to talk when she suddenly observed him texting on his cellphone with who she believed was a female. Lesley then snatched the phone away from him. (The victim) then attempted to retrieve the phone back and she slapped him on the arm. (The victim) was then able to take the phone away from her and called 9-1-1-. I observed light rudeness on one of Lesley’s arms.”
Wrote the officer:
“Based on (the) investigation, I found probable cause exists for the arrest of Lesley Gladney for Simple Battery (Domestic).
Gladney is a licensed real estate agent in the State of Florida. Licensed real estate agents must be of “good moral character.”
