Broward Sheriff’s Office SWAT members will be training in a Boca Raton apartment building on Thursday. The Boca Raton Police Department is advising the public that there is nothing to worry about, even if you hear explosions.
Here’s the official advisory:
On Thursday April 1, 2021 The Broward Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team will be training in the City of Boca Raton in an apartment building being renovated located at 365 N. Ocean Blvd from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Passersby, beach goers and local residents will see Broward Sheriff’s Office vehicles parked outside the building.
There may be sounds of explosions and simunition (simulated gunfire). Be assured there is no cause for concern as this is a training exercise. Any questions regarding the training should be directed to the Broward Sheriff’s Office. This is not affiliated with any Boca Raton Police training.
