The long-scheduled day off for students is a teacher professional development day. While you may see cars in school parking lots, there will be no in-school or distance learning on Friday.
With the exception of Memorial Day on May 31st, there are no additional days off for the rest of the school year. Due to COVID, the final day of school is now June 18th — roughly three weeks later than usual.
Summer this year is exceptionally short, with just seven weeks until the 2021-2022 school year starts on August 10th. Teachers report on August 4th.
