Elaine St. George of the 22000 block of Martella Avenue in Boca Raton is now facing one count of “aggravated assault with a deadly wepon, without intent to kill” stemming from the incident on Wednesday.
According to a police report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, it all started when a woman walking her dog noticed that her dog was sick. She stopped — unknowingly on her neighbor’s lawn — to assess her pet. That’s when the neighbor, Elaine St. George, apparently witnessed the dog and became aggressive.
“(The dog walker looked up) and observed her neighbor, on the street, in her silver Cadillac start yelling at her saying “get off my lawn,” wrote an investigating deputy with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. “To the (dog walker’s) surprise, she was on her neighbors’s lawn and started to walk towards the swale of the driveway, away from her property. She observed her neighbor start following her in her car, on the grass. (The dog walker) afraid for the safety of her dog and herself started to back away from the car on the grass that almost hit her and yelled, “stop trying to hit me with your car.”
The police report continues: “The neighbor, ignoring (the dog walker) who told her to stop, continues to follow her onto the swale of the driveway, almost hitting her in the leg with her vehicle again. (The dog walker) in fear of her neighbor went to her home and called the police.”
Police located a doorbell camera that had full view of the event. investigators obtained the video and allegedly watched as “a silver Cadillac … reverses then goes back into drive and accelerates towards (the dog walker) walking her dogs.”
Elaine St. George, 73, was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail. She was later released pending a court date.
