ROYAL PALM BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A shooting inside a Publix has left three people dead, including the shooter. While located in Royal Palm Beach which is outside our general Boca Raton and South Palm Beach County coverage area, we are running this in an effort to assist in rumor control — we’re already hearing from people who believe it happened here and is an “active” situation. It is not.

Royal Palm Beach is roughly 17 miles away, just north of Wellington.

This is the official media advisory from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office:

“Deputies responded to a shooting inside Publix in the 1100 block of Royal Palm Beach Blvd, RPB.  Upon arrival deputies located three individuals deceased from gunshot wounds, one adult male, one adult female and one child.  The shooter is one of the deceased.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division is currently on scene investigating this shooting. THIS IS NOT AN ACTIVE SHOOTER SITUATION!  Detectives are in the beginning stages of determining what led up to the shooting.”

We will update when PBSO releases more information.
