BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boynton Beach resident Jessica Montanez is now an accused murderer, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Montanez, according to police, pulled a gun on an acquaintance in the parking lot of the “Paul’s Motel” located at 5445 Lake Worth Road in Greenacres. During an argument, she “stormed toward (the victim) who was still on the far west side of the parking lot. As (the victim) stood in the same location, Montanez approached approximately 5-10 feet from him. Montanez could be seen lifting the firearm with her right hand, shooting, and then immediately walked back toward the vehicle. Within seconds of being shot, the victim collapsed in the same general location in which he had been standing previously.”

The victim is identified as Mariano J. Baca of Greenacres.

The entire event, according to detectives, was captured on camera by closed circuit security cameras in the area.

Montanez is now being held without bond in the Palm Beach County Jail. She is charged with “first degree murder with a firearm.”
