BocaNewsNow.com reported the breaking news Thursday as events unfolded. Rescuers were called to the 2100 block of Dorsen Way for a man who was apparently stabbed in the eye. But police told medical responders to “stage” down the street while they secured the scene — they didn’t want rescuers to be stabbed as well.
When allowed inside, medics confirmed the stabbing and rushed the victim to Delray Medical Center’s trauma unit.
After removing the victim, police engaged in a standoff with Pierrelouis which continued for several hours. He was eventually taken into custody and charged with “aggravated battery — person uses a deadly weapon.”
Pierrelouis was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail at 5:48 p.m. and remains held without bond Friday morning.
The victim’s medical condition was unclear Friday morning. We will update when the affidavit of probable cause is processed by the Palm Beach County clerk of courts.
