Woman Drives Into Parking Garage Wall At Polo Club, Is First Paralyzed, Then Dies

BOCA RATON, FL ( (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — An 87-year-old woman was first paralyzed, then died, after driving into a wall in a parking garage at the Polo Club Country Club.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tells that Sandra Schwalb drove her 2019 Lexus “over the concrete parking stop and into a wall” in Polo Club at 5400 Champion Blvd. It happened November 16th at 12:56 p.m. Schwalb was first paralyzed, according to investigators, and hospitalized in critical condition. She died on Wednesday, November 24th.

Investigators say Schwalb “made a right turn into a parking spot (then) pressed the accelerator instead of the brake.”

Schwalb lived in Polo Club, on Bridleway Circle.
