BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Onsite garages at Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport are open again, following closures due to overcrowding.
The garages reached capacity early on Thanksgiving day, leading to mandatory offsite parking which requires a shuttle ride to the terminals. That is somewhat of a rarity at FLL where parking tends to be abundant.
Officials at FLL reported late Friday evening that the overcrowding condition was resolved and garages are open again. Offsite parking is now closed to incoming vehicles. Anyone with a vehicle in the offsite lot must claim it within a week.
Palm Beach International Airport reported no parking problems at all.
