PBSO Takes Over Deadly I-95 Shooting Investigation

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is now assuming control of the investigation into an I-95 shooting that left one man dead near Boynton Beach.

The shooting occurred in June. Florida Highway Patrol initiated the investigation.

From PBSO: On June 14, 2021, at 1230 hours, Fritz Jean-Baptiste was a
passenger in a red 2014 Lexus IS 250. He was traveling south on I-95 at Gateway Blvd, when an occupant of a white 2015 Nissan Infiniti Q50 began shooting into the Lexus.

After being shot, Jean-Baptiste was transported to Bethesda Medical Center where he
was pronounced deceased. If you have any information about this case, please contact Detective
